Washington Post Admits to Error on Women's Health Initiative Coverage

In our last issue of the Hormone Balance Hotline, we alerted all of you to a serious error that the Washington Post made in its story on the latest study from the Women's Health Initiative (WHI). The study showed that even after women quit taking combination estrogen-progestin pills, they face elevated cancer risks for years afterwards. Unfortunately, the Post reported that the women in the WHI study were taking estrogen and progesterone rather than the progestins they were actually taking.
